How to get to Dublin City University (DCU)

Dublin City University is ideally located in close proximity to the airport, city centre and also major Dublin motorways. Depending whether you are an international visitor or an Irish based delegate, please find below details of how to reach DCU. Details can be found on the University's website at http://www.dcu.ie/info/get_to.shtml

Arrival from the airport

If you are planning to take a taxi to the university the journey is typically 15-20 minutes in duration but this will depend if you arrive during typical rush-hour or not. When coming through arrivals you exit the main door and directly on your right is the taxi rank. If you plan to rent a car for the duration of your visit the directions to the DCU are the following:
Follow the M1, direction city centre, and turn right at Whitehall Church into Collins Avenue. DCU is 500 metres on the left hand side.
There are also a good selection of buses that service the city centre and also the DCU area. The buses are operated by Dublin bus and include the 16A, 41/41A/41B/41C, 46X, 58X, 746 and the “Airlink” coach service 747.
Details concerning the timetables, fares and general route information about all these buses can be found on the following websites;
http://www.dublinbus.ie
